VAER Upcycled is a Copenhagen-based sustainable footwear brand founded by Lili Dreyer and Emma Diehl. The brand's name comes from the Danish word for 'value' (værdi) and the verb 'to be' (vær), reflecting their mission to see worth in post-consumer materials. VAER operates a closed-loop manufacturing model: they source discarded textiles from EU-based non-profits and industrial services, cut and assemble in a family-owned factory in Porto, Portugal, and offer a take-back program where returned sneakers are shredded and molded into new soles. These insoles are made with recycled PU, cork, and EVA, and are designed to extend the life of your sneakers while providing all-day comfort.
