Each pair of VAER sneakers begins its life as discarded textiles — workwear, denim, or hotel tablecloths — collected across Northern Europe. In Porto, Portugal, skilled artisans cut and assemble the uppers by hand in a family-owned factory, preserving original seams and pocket details as design features. The outsoles are made from recycled rubber that includes shredded post-consumer sneakers returned through VAER's take-back program. The result is a circular sneaker that keeps materials out of landfills and gives them new value.
